The Creator
I began walking the plant path in 2020. I was living in New York City just barely getting by as a restaurant server. The relationship I had with my mind, body, and soul was almost non-existent. It wasn’t until I lost my job during the lockdown, and like thousands of others in the world, I had the opportunity to truly explore my passions and desires. With chaos, brings clarity. Soon after, the call to become an Herbalist had been unearthed. Something just “clicked.” It was that light bulb moment that shined so bright pulling me to go deeper. So I did. I started reading every piece of literature and article I can find, every podcast, teacher, even the plants themselves.
This eventually led me to close the doors on a nearly 10-year run of residency in New York City and live a more nature-oriented plant-abundant life in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I attended a 450+ hour long intensive at the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine where I gained extensive knowledge on plant identification, Materia Medica, Anatomy + Physiology, Basic Clinical Skills, Herbal Preparations, Herbal First-Aid and sustainable & ethical plant harvesting. In addition, I gratefully accepted a job offer to work at a Certified Organic medicinal herb farm where I connected with 30+ medicinal herbs from seed to harvest. My relationship with plants has grown significantly since 2020 and continues to do so.
My mission for Supple Medicine is to:
- OFFER guidance towards a conscious, supple, & vital way of living.
- BUILD a bridge between the plant world and human world that is accessible to everyone.
- TEACH about the potent medicine that is growing right outside your door.
One of the many reasons why I am so devoted to this path is because Herbalism is a remembering of who we are. Plants are merely a reflection of ourselves and if we are willing to look into that reflection, our bodies deepest needs and desires are seen. I remain humble to this path as an eternal student of the Plant Kingdom.
Welcome & Thank you for being here,
